What does
Repowering mean?
The term “Repowering” means transforming existing coal power plant sites into clean energy hubs by retrofitting them with low-carbon technologies such as concentrated solar power, next-gen geothermal or advanced nuclear (amongst many other technological options). It’s a smart way to reduce emissions while making use of existing infrastructure, and benefits plant owners, workers, local communities, and the planet.
