Alice Anlind Joins RepowerScore Team

June 10, 2025

Some people just seem to magnetically attract the kind of projects that tick all their boxes. For Alice, those boxes include sustainability, data science, and purpose-driven work. So joining QC to work on RepowerScore was a natural fit.

RepowerScore is a tool that helps identify and prioritise coal plants for replacement with fossil-free alternatives helping accelerate the global coal phase-out. Check out a map of coal power plants based on their suitability to be repowered.

Three different pathways and ~10,000 coal units have been assessed for repowering suitability - with more factors and pathways on the way.

Alice is especially excited about pushing RepowerScore forward as a catalyst for change. As she puts it:

“As RepowerScore grows in maturity, there will be no reason not to Repower anymore. I really believe this might be a key factor in stopping climate change.”

Alice at the Repower World Summit 2025

Her background spans everything from developing AI-based robotic microscopes to AI based industry automation and most recently developing software for satellites. And now, climate tech.

Her dream superpower? A brain-to-code interface to instantly translate her ideas into code. But honestly, at the pace she’s working, we’re not sure she needs one.

Alice is already making great progress in integrating Thermal Energy Storage pathway into the RepowerScore tool. A clean future, with the world's coal infrastructure repowered by low-carbon tech is getting closer by the day!
